We've added two new options to the Draw & Zoom tools so you can add text in the screen recorder. After you switch into Draw & Zoom mode either by clicking the pen icon or using the hotkey you can click on the tools menu to select either the Speech Bubble or the Text Area tools. The Speech Bubble tool can be used to add text that points out something on the screen. For example, if you wanted to point out the address bar in the browser window you would click on the address bar then drag down to position the Speech Bubble. After it's positioned then you can type your message. When you're done typing you can press the Esc key or click anywhere else on the screen to start another Speech Bubble. The Text Area tool lets you enter text in two different ways. You can either click on the screen and start typing which will enter text as you see here. Or you can click and drag an area of the screen to bound the text within that box. By default the text you type will be entered at the upper left corner of the box but you can click to any corner or center of the box to have the text be centered or aligned at that corner. Just be aware that you must click to position the text before you enter any text. You can adjust the color of the text and background or make the background transparent by using this menu. You can adjust the font type and size using this menu. You can also manually increase or decrease the font size by holding the Control key on windows or Command key on mac then pressing the plus or minus buttons to increase or decrease the font size. Lastly if you want to move the text area you can click and drag near the edge of the box to position it around the capture area.
