Once you've created your scripted audio you can capture the screen to go along with it. First click the section you'd like to start recording at. The recorder will add video over the currently selected section and any other consecutive sections without video. Now we'll click the button to bring up the recorder. The scripted recorder will show the sections we've selected on the timeline. And you can navigate between sections using the buttons here or by dragging on the timeline. We also see a box that displays the script text. You can reposition this box anywhere on the screen by dragging it. The box will remain on the screen while you are recording but it won't show in the actual recorded video. If you'd rather not see the box while recording then you can click the "cog" icon to show the recorder menu and then click "Preferences..." and choose to hide the box while recording. When you are ready to record click the record button. This will start playing back the audio from the script so you can follow along performing whatever action is needed for the current script section. After the audio runs out the recorder will continue to record adding silence to the audio in that section until you click the pause button or move to the next section. You can move to the next section by clicking the Next button or by using the hotkey which you can setup in the Preferences menu we showed before. One nice feature of the recorder is that if you leave a section blank or stop the recorder before the audio finishes, then the recorder will fill the rest of the time by holding the last screen image. Once you're done recording you click the Done button This will take us back out to the script editor which will now show different icons for the script sections to show that both audio and video are recorded. If your recording included some silence then you'll see this icon and you can click on it to see options for editing the silence. You can absorbe the silence which means the video will be sped up to match the audio. You can cut out the silence Or you can speed-up just the silent part. If you'd like to replace the video in a certain section you can click on it and then click the record button again which will load up the recorder to replace the video in just the currently selected section. You can still add on more sections if you need to even after recording audio and video. For example if we wanted to add another section in between the two that we have then we can click at the end of the first section and press the Enter key to create a new section. Then we can enter text and add audio and video like we did before. After you've got the audio and video ready to go you can move on to editing the video which we cover in the next tutorial.
