Let's show you how to insert a pause that will freeze your audio and video for a certain amount of time. Go to the point in the timeline where you want the pause inserted. Click the "Tools" button, select "Insert", and then "Pause". Or you can click the "I" key and then the "P" key. You can customize the length of the pause by using these up and down arrows. You can preview what the pause will look like by clicking on the "Preview" button here. If you aren't at the right spot on the timeline, you can drag this blue bar here or use the arrow keys to nudge the bar along the timeline. If that looks good, hit "okay" or "enter" on your keyboard. A colored span will show on the timeline indicating the placement of the inserted pause. If you want to remove the pause, you can go back to that spot on the timeline, click this icon, which will bring up a menu with another icon you can press to remove the pause, or adjust the length of the pause using these arrows.
