Captions

Our app enables you to create and upload captions and add them to your video. These captions are displayed on the screen in real time as the video plays, enabling those who cannot hear or understand the audio to access the content within a video.

Adding captions to a hosted video

1. Log into your account via our website.
2. Click My content at the top of the page.



3. From the Quick View filter for Videos, hover over a video thumbnail and click Video Details.




4. The video opens in the preview area with the Video Details and other tabs displayed on the right. Scroll to the bottom of the Video Details tab.

5. In the Captions area, click Add Captions.



6. Select your desired Caption File Language from Captions File Language menu:



7. Click Upload File.

8. Navigate to the applicable captions file on your computer, select it, and then click Open.

The captions file is added to the video. 

Playback

To see what your captions will look like, play back your video in the video preview area in Video Details
To display the captions, click in the bottom right of the video preview toolbar and select the language of the captions that you just uploaded.

If you need to fix an error, click   to download the captions file, make your changes, and then re-upload it by following the steps above.

      

To delete a captions file, click .

Supported files

We currently support the upload of .srt, .sub, and .vtt files.
